Clóvis Faria helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute Ruy Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Maia was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Romário Braga in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Grêmio Papão de WC's Carlos Fernando Trancoso. After 87 minutes, Clóvis Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Papão de WC and the Werneck FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Werneck FC - DMZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
