In the 23rd minute, Washington Bezerra made a precise shot to the right of Aloísio Arruda. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Secco to strike the kick off in the second half. Grêmio Bulls's Marcel Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Bulls from getting a goal against them. 56 minutes into the match, Flávio Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcel Jacinto, 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrézinho Gomes during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Grêmio Bulls getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Andrézinho Gomes hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Marcel Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flávio Costa. After some careless play in the Grêmio Bulls defense, Marco Secco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Jacinto. The Grêmio Bulls fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Jacinto should have stopped the shot. Marcel Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flávio Costa in the 78th minute. Marcel Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flávio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 minutes, Murillo Penha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Bulls and the Maxaranguape - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Murillo Penha hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Gomes in the 97th minute of play forced Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Aloísio Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Maxaranguape - FSCMZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
