Cido Cosme hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Brito came free, but Marcinho Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Simão de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bola Forte kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clemente Hermes. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. After 24 played minutes Romando Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Amauri de Barros. Clemente Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Clemente Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão de Lara in the 29th minute of play. Hélio Fernandez hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Marcinho Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bem Fraco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bola Forte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bola Forte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Elder Tróia could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Marcinho Fonseca however easily saved by the left post. Marcinho Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcinho Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Ferraz in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Brito got free with Marcinho Fonseca in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mamutes EC's Marcinho Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Mamutes EC from getting a goal against them. After 91 played minutes Mamutes EC got a freekick which was hit by Cido Cosme. After recieving a nice pass, Romando Futebol Clube's Francisco Zonta tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mamutes EC's Pedrinho Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romando Futebol Clube were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
