In the 19th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Donato Nascimento was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and André Luiz Esteves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Magalhães in the 25th minute of play. Wellington Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Travassos in the 27th minute of the match. After 29 minutes Joinville Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oscar do Vale who took care of the corner kick. Ediberto Lopes's late challenge caught a Joinville Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediberto Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. Ediberto Lopes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Donato Nascimento stood somewhat misplaced when André Luiz Esteves came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 34 minute. The wind increased when Simão Travassos made the kick off in the second half. Oscar do Vale was slow to take the kick. During this time Jenipapo SC's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luan Vale in the 87th minute of play forced Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Wellington Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Magalhães got free with Wellington Montenegro in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Jenipapo SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Joinville Esporte Clube.
