Afonsinho Paiva started the match with the kick off. The supporters of SE Palestra Itália booed when Premier FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubens Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match, Wang Quan Yuan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zé Paulo Bezerra was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Zé Paulo Bezerra made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Wang Quan Yuan sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton de Queirós in the 17th minute of play forced SE Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Paulão Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulão Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton de Queirós in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SE Palestra Itália's Alan Dias got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wang Quan Yuan made a kick off. Zé Paulo Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Quan Yuan in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wang Quan Yuan in the 54th minute of play forced Premier FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Ceresso hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Premier FC defense, Wang Quan Yuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Bezerra. The Premier FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Paulo Bezerra should have stopped the shot. Zé Paulo Bezerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano Velloso went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. If Wang Quan Yuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabiano Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Zé Paulo Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelinho Amorim was slow to take the kick. During this time SE Palestra Itália's players had a chance to rest. Miguel Santana hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Dadá da Costa took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Paulão Penha to make any attempt to save it. Premier FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
