Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Charles Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evaristo Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Giovani de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Oséas Vander came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Icoara Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséas Vander couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Valdo Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Arantes's late challenge caught a Icoara Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Arantes helped the player get up and apologised. Charles Arantes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Raúl Rosado fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portuguesa's protests and gave Raúl Rosado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Portuguesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Rosado to maneuver through the defense. Enéas Baptista was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pedro Augusto de Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aírton de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Pedro Augusto de Barros got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aírton de Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aírton de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Severo in the 39th minute of play. Pedro Augusto de Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aírton de Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Augusto de Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Betinho Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Aírton de Amorim came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Portuguesa's Pedro Augusto de Barros. But to his dismay, Pedro Augusto de Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Betinho Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aírton de Amorim having to make a save. In the 56th minute, Charles Arantes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aírton de Amorim. The goal made the score 0-2. If Evaristo Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the game, Portuguesa's Betinho Severo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aírton de Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Aírton de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Pedro Augusto de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton de Amorim having to interfere. Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Charles Arantes 78 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Pedro Augusto de Barros struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Aírton de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portuguesa. Portuguesa's Charles Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Evaristo Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente de Lara came free, but Giovani de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's Afonsinho Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aírton de Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Betinho Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Aírton de Amorim made a huge save. Icoara Football Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Charles Arantes scored to the left of an out of position Aírton de Amorim, making the score, 0-6. Portuguesa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
