Antônio Carlos Leme was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gláuber Cardozo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Durvalino Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Pedrão Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Antônio Carlos Leme made a huge save. A collision led to REAL VASCO RIO getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Horácio Pires hit a great ball. Sangue nos Zóio's Antônio Carlos Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Sangue nos Zóio from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrão Souza. The crowd rose to their feet as REAL VASCO RIO's Gláuber Cardozo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antônio Carlos Leme. That made the score 3-0 after 29 minutes of play. In the 31st minute Alfredo Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Cardozo came free, but Antônio Carlos Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Carlos Leme was a little too slow when Gláuber Cardozo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 4-0. Antônio Carlos Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sangue nos Zóio's João Vítor Zonta got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Fernandão Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelsinho do Vale to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, REAL VASCO RIO's Alfredo Fernandes made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Carlos Leme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dudu Hermes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th match minute, Sangue nos Zóio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Freire to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of REAL VASCO RIO booed when Sangue nos Zóio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Antônio Carlos Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sangue nos Zóio's Telmo Zanette was substituted for Felippe Couto. Sangue nos Zóio made a substitution. Emílio Andrade replaced Igor Rocha. When Nelsinho do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Sangue nos Zóio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho do Vale couldn't finish the play. Antônio Carlos Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Fernandes in the 69th minute of play. Nelsinho do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Percival Prestes made a huge save. Nelsinho do Vale had several of the REAL VASCO RIO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-1 score and a disappointed Percival Prestes as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of REAL VASCO RIO booed when Sangue nos Zóio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Alfredo Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Gláuber Cardozo made a precise shot to the right of Antônio Carlos Leme. Sangue nos Zóio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 89th minute, Sangue nos Zóio's Emílio Andrade dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-2. With a little luck, REAL VASCO RIO's Percival Prestes got control of the ball when Emílio Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sangue nos Zóio players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for REAL VASCO RIO.
