The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Délio Gerber to make the kick off. Délio Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Britto having to interfere. Vitório Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
