Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Délio Gerber started the match with the kick off. Raphael Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Agostinho Salgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael Furlan. Blumenau Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agostinho Salgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Délio Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Oleg Timofeev made a huge save. If Clóvis Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Raphael Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Brito in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Paraense in the 19th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Raphael Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Brito in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raphael Furlan saved Blumenau Esporte Clube from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Leandro Brito put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Raphael Furlan. In the 24th minute, Leandro Brito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montevideo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 34 minutes of play, Montevideo's Jano Cavalcante made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raphael Furlan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raphael Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Brito in the 37th minute of play. Raphael Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jano Cavalcante in the 41st minute of the match. Leandro Brito took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raphael Furlan. Raphael Furlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jano Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Jano Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jano Cavalcante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 53 minutes into the game, Leandro Brito recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raphael Furlan. Leandro Brito showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Jano Cavalcante who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Raphael Furlan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Mazza came free, but Oleg Timofeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jano Cavalcante came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raphael Furlan could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Clóvis Paraense got a free kick in the 70th minute. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Meireles in the 72nd minute of play. Jano Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Furlan having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Celsinho de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jano Cavalcante got free with Raphael Furlan in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Brito in the 93rd minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Raphael Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osmar da Fonseca lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Blumenau Esporte Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty!
