Edmundo Hermes's late challenge caught a Pirajiba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmundo Hermes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Edmundo Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Jundiaí -DMZ-'s Henrique Madureira got a free kick in the 6th minute. Sydney Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Basílio Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Jundiaí -DMZ- booed when Pirajiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivaldo Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Basílio Cosme made a huge save. Basílio Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Hermes in the 35th minute of play. Deivid Bueno lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 38th minute, Deivid Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vivaldo Monteiros short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Basílio Cosme to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 45 minutes into the game, Felippe Godoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Basílio Cosme. Felippe Godoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vivaldo Monteiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jundiaí -DMZ-'s zone, Jairo Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Diniz came out of the goal and Jairo Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute Edmundo Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jundiaí -DMZ-'s Henrique Madureira got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Edmundo Hermes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Basílio Cosme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Basílio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Jundiaí -DMZ-'s Edmundo Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basílio Cosme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Neto in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute Wilson Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jundiaí -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirajiba the free kick. The supporters of Pirajiba booed when Jundiaí -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Jundiaí -DMZ- were the better team. Jundiaí -DMZ-'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
