Marco van Persie struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Basílio Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floresta Negra FC. Natanael Couto hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Mauro Proença took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Basílio Cosme. Pirajiba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gabriel Freire hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Basílio Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco van Persie in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Gabriel Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Basílio Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Freire in the 22nd minute of the match. Basílio Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco van Persie in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Proença in the 30th minute of play forced Pirajiba's goalkeeper Basílio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco van Persie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cristian Prado hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Basílio Cosme made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Geovanni Arósio sent off a good shot on target. After 60 played minutes Pirajiba got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Prado. Mauro Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Cosme having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Marco van Persie rounded Pirajiba's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. In the 68th match minute, Pirajiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Bueno to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Marco van Persie recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Basílio Cosme. Marco van Persie showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Basílio Cosme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Freire in the 76th minute. Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Pirajiba from getting a goal against them. Jairo Santana's late challenge caught a Floresta Negra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Santana helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Pirajiba got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Santana. The long shot by Mauro Proença in the 80th minute really tested Basílio Cosme's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Freire got free with Basílio Cosme in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mauro Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Marco van Persie recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Basílio Cosme. Marco van Persie showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco van Persie in the 95th minute of play forced Pirajiba's goalkeeper Basílio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Floresta Negra FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pirajiba throughout the match.
