Floresta Negra FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Aírton Oliveira scored to the left of an out of position Almir Carneiro, making the score, 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Aírton Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Almir Carneiro. Floresta Negra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aírton Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Floresta Negra FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Wilton de Amaral scored to the left of an out of position Almir Carneiro, making the score, 3-0. Floresta Negra FC's Almir Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton de Amaral in the 28th minute of play. Mauro Proença scored 3-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elano Travassos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilton de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Floresta Negra FC's Almir Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Negra FC from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Karaboudjan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Proença was slow to take the kick. During this time Floresta Negra FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 38th minute, Karaboudjan's Kléberson Gomes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kléberson Gomes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Karaboudjan protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kléberson Gomes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Karaboudjan! After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Aírton Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karaboudjan's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almir Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Almir Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton de Amaral in the 47th minute of the match.

Geovanni Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Karaboudjan's zone, Geovanni Arósio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Travassos came out of the goal and Geovanni Arósio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Floresta Negra FC's Marco van Persie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elano Travassos. That made the score 4-3 after 57 minutes of play. Evaristo Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laerte Coutinho during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Karaboudjan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute Wilton de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco van Persie in the 72nd minute of play forced Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Elano Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Floresta Negra FC's Almir Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Tolino in the 75th minute of play. Almir Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton de Amaral in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Wilson Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karaboudjan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Floresta Negra FC's Almir Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton de Amaral in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Evaristo Tolino notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Floresta Negra FC's Almir Carneiro. Almir Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 91 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by Noel Tavares. In the 92nd minute, Evaristo Tolino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karaboudjan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-3.
