Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chivu Quintana got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Remedios SC's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Cruz came free, but Jean dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Alves to maneuver through the defense. After 11 minutes of play, INTER FC's Léo Trigo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jean dos Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! INTER FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ricardinho Batista in the 15th minute. The corner led INTER FC's Ricardinho Batista to fire away a dangerous shot which Jean dos Santos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aloísio Bastos's late challenge caught a INTER FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aloísio Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Remedios SC's Aloísio Bastos got a free kick in the 16th minute. Horácio Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mandi Oca in the 20th minute of play forced Remedios SC's goalkeeper Jean dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes, Albertinho Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTER FC and the Remedios SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to INTER FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Albertinho Meireles hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Danilo Pinho took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Basílio Maranhense to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Emerson Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean dos Santos was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After the first half INTER FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Danilo Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of INTER FC booed when Remedios SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wincent Wawro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Cruz in the 80th minute of play. Basílio Maranhense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Basílio Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chivu Quintana in the 92nd minute of play. Remedios SC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though INTER FC had controlled the match.
