Váldson Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Souza having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Breguete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Dias to maneuver through the defense. Váldson Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jefferson Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes in the game, Benjamim Rezende fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Perivaldo Nogueira having to interfere. Perivaldo Nogueira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cássio Meira hit a great ball. Jefferson Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Pragmáticos 1903 were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Breguete FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafael Faria took the corner. Pragmáticos 1903's Rafael Faria was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jefferson Souza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 37 minutes Pragmáticos 1903's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rodrigo Domingues who took care of the corner kick. In the 38th minute, Rodrigo Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Perivaldo Nogueira. Pragmáticos 1903's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 41 minutes, Filipe Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Breguete FC and the Pragmáticos 1903 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Filipe Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Rodrigo Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Claudinei Mesquita's late challenge caught a Pragmáticos 1903's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Claudinei Mesquita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Rodrigo Domingues sped through Pragmáticos 1903's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Perivaldo Nogueira. Perivaldo Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 90th match minute, Pragmáticos 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Faria to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Pragmáticos 1903 defense, Benjamim Rezende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Perivaldo Nogueira. The Pragmáticos 1903 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Perivaldo Nogueira should have stopped the shot. Roberto Toledo made a great header on Breguete FC's corner, it was just that Pragmáticos 1903's Perivaldo Nogueira managed to reach the ball for a save. Breguete FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
