After 6 minutes of play, INTER FC's Emerson Cruz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yan Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hortêncio Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Conrado Leite fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrela Vermelha's protests and gave Conrado Leite a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of INTER FC booed when Estrela Vermelha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, INTER FC's Ricardinho Batista broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 17 played minutes Estrela Vermelha got a freekick which was hit by Duaner Jaramillo. In the 17th minute of the match Ricardinho Batista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yan Moraes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Hortêncio Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yan Moraes was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Aírton Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Mandi Oca notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Estrela Vermelha's Yan Moraes. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Proença made a kick off. Yan Moraes made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Hortêncio Linhares sent off a good shot on target. Yan Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Cruz in the 58th minute of the match. Yan Moraes came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER FC's Mandi Oca. But to his dismay, Mandi Oca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. 62 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Proença came free, but Basílio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hortêncio Linhares in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yan Moraes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Estrela Vermelha's Yan Moraes got control of the ball when Hortêncio Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hortêncio Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Moraes having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Estrela Vermelha's goalkeeper Yan Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hortêncio Linhares. In the 91st minute of the match, Emerson Cruz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yan Moraes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Estrela Vermelha's Conrado Leite got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Conrado Leite off the ground. In the 94th minute, Conrado Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yan Moraes made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Mandi Oca sent off a good shot on target. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estrela Vermelha's goalkeeper Yan Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Estrela Vermelha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. INTER FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
