The referee ignored Saiko FC's protests and gave Luiz Maciel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Remedios SC booed when Saiko FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute 楚庭潮 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chivu Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Giuseppe de Carvalho came out of the goal and 楚庭潮 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valério Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 姚旭杰 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jean dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remedios SC's Jean dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 姚旭杰 in the 88th minute of play. Saiko FC's 姚旭杰 got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Garcia in the 94th minute of play forced Remedios SC's goalkeeper Jean dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Remedios SC defense, 姚旭杰 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean dos Santos. The Remedios SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean dos Santos should have stopped the shot. Remedios SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
