Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) In the 2nd minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Manfredo Cabral seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Manfredo Cabral the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Manfredo Cabral had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 3 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Cabral. Valdemar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Mendonça in the 4th minute of play. Valdemar Quadros came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Várzea F.C.'s Filipe Mendonça. But to his dismay, Filipe Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Valdemar Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Rogério Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Várzea F.C.'s Romeu Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Recife in the 10th minute of play. Valdemar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Duarte in the 11th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Ramiro Rosado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Várzea F.C.'s Valdomiro Duarte in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 19th minute, Valdomiro Duarte made a precise shot to the right of Valdemar Quadros. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Valdemar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Mandrak in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Ramiro Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdemar Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 30 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Valdomiro Duarte came free, but Valdemar Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Aníbal Paes hit a great ball. Bruninho Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. When Haroldo Recife came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Recife couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Duarte in the 40th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Valdemar Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Jarbas Sanches got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Filipe Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdemar Quadros. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filipe Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessandro Mandrak in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdemar Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Várzea F.C. were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovânio Toscano to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu Batista was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Valdemar Quadros made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Valdomiro Duarte sent off a good shot on target. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Duarte in the 60th minute of play. Valdomiro Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Valdemar Quadros made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Valdomiro Duarte could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Valdemar Quadros however easily saved by the left post. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Duarte in the 68th minute of play. Ramiro Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Quadros having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Rosado to maneuver through the defense. After 79 minutes of play, Várzea F.C.'s Alessandro Mandrak made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdemar Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdemar Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdomiro Duarte in the 83rd minute of the match. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Duarte in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Várzea F.C.'s Alessandro Mandrak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Quadros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. When Várzea F.C.'s Valdomiro Duarte in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalie prevented a goal. The Várzea F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Várzea F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
