With an all-out effort, Tamboril's Leonardo Trancoso threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wanderson Ceresso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Rafa Bueno put in a rough tackle. 27 minutes into the game, one of Tamboril:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Yuri Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Diniz having to interfere. José Vítor Lara in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leonardo Trancoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Tamboril's Valdomiro Garcia got a free kick in the 39th minute. Hugo Terra took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Diniz. Frederico Leme scored 1-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonardo Trancoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Red Dragon FC - DMZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frederico Leme was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Ernesto Dionísio got a free kick in the 55th minute. Abelardo Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Mathias Freire fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Dragon FC - DMZ's protests and gave Mathias Freire a yellow card for diving instead. Mathias Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
