The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomé Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Almeida in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Valdemar Quadros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edinho Pitta. In the 30th minute, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Geovani Leal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valdemar Quadros. Valdemar Quadros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Edinho Pitta's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valdemar Quadros firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Leal in the 35th minute of play. Valdemar Quadros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edinho Pitta in the 37th minute. Manfredo Cabral hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Ortiz in the 47th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Valdemar Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Emanuel Almeida made the kick off in the second half. After 77 minutes of play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Geovânio Toscano made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomé Prestes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdemar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinho Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 played minutes Diamante Negro DK - VV got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Pitta. Geovânio Toscano struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tomé Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Maurício Sarmento suffered a concussion after 94 minutes and had to leave the field. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Sílvio Luiz Ceresso was substituted for Maurício Sarmento.
