Giovanni Lucas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 17th minute, Adelino Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SALIMEN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Olavo Carioca received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Giovanni Lucas came out and tried to block the shot, but Olavo Carioca slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 20th minute. Miguel Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Poetass FC got a corner. SALIMEN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudinho Saldanha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claudinho Saldanha made a great header on Poetass FC's corner, it was just that SALIMEN's Giovanni Lucas managed to reach the ball for a save. Miguel Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when SALIMEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Genílson Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Lucas was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adelino Penha to make the kick off. Genílson Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Lucas having to interfere. Giovanni Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Genílson Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Lucas was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Cássio de Senna made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Claudinho Teixeira sent off a good shot on target. Adelino Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Cássio de Senna made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Genílson Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Lucas was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 90 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Penha came free, but Cássio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genílson Andrade in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Lucas saved SALIMEN from getting behind. In the 96th match minute, Poetass FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Andrade to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
