The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Suição United's Claudinei Favoretto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Suição United from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Suição United defense, Paulinho Zanette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinei Favoretto. The Suição United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinei Favoretto should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Neiva during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abelardo Neiva hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Bueno came free, but Kléber Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Kléber Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suição United. After 63 played minutes Suição United got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José Bezerra. In the 64th minute of the match Eriberto Borges sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Favoretto skillfully saved the ball. Paulinho Zanette scored 4-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinei Favoretto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Goiano during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Suição United! Pedro Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Favoretto having to interfere. Claudinei Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Zanette in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Pedro Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
