A collision led to SE Palmeiras getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. André Vinhas hit a great ball. In the 8th minute of the match Dalmo Santos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilson Dracena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 9th minute, Didi Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Santos came free, but Nilson Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dalmo Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Gurdurão's Nilson Dracena threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dalmo Santos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pepe Giliamsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Dracena having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Nilson Dracena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandrinho Cabral. 67 minutes into the game, Ian Cerezo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gurdurão's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Dracena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dalmo Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gurdurão were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
