Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dário da Cunha made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão Castro came free, but Zé de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Natã Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Zé de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Rossi in the 13th minute of play. Zé de Senna came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Alfredão Castro. But to his dismay, Alfredão Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Matungo Gaúcho booed when Floripa Lions FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Breno Velloso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Evaristo Siqueira. That made the score 1-2 in the 20 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Luiz Fernando Cordeiro got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Rossi in the 28th minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Zé de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Natã Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natã Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Betão Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé de Senna having to interfere. Matungo Gaúcho's Zé de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Castro in the 39th minute of play. Zé de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Schmidt in the 40th minute of the match. Zé de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Alfredão Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredão Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé de Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredão Castro in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Zé de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredão Castro. Alfredão Castro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zé de Senna firmly grabbed it by the left post. Betão Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Zé de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Matungo Gaúcho's Amílton Machado got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Natã Rossi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floripa Lions FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 67th minute Luiz Fernando Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Rossi in the 69th minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Zé de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Alfredão Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Gaspar in the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Silva in the 84th minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Zé de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Matungo Gaúcho getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Abelardo de Lara hit a great ball. A hard shot by Betão Silva from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Zé de Senna's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Zé de Senna made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Alfredão Castro sent off a good shot on target. Zé de Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredão Castro in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Floripa Lions FSCMZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Matungo Gaúcho.
