The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, AKI CORINTHIANS's Mathias Queirós got a free kick in the 5th minute. A collision led to AKI CORINTHIANS getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Edvaldo Arósio hit a great ball. Júlio Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Dudu de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Edvaldo Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16thth minute of the game Matías de Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AKI CORINTHIANS's Dudu de Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dudu de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Cosme. Gustavo Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dudu de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dudu de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matías de Moraes's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. A collision led to AKI CORINTHIANS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. José Vítor Fantini hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Vivaldo Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dudu de Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 34th match minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías de Moraes in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dudu de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Matías de Moraes sped through AKI CORINTHIANS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dudu de Carvalho. After the first half S.C. Corinthians Paulista were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to S.C. Corinthians Paulista getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gergely Szentesi hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Guerra to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 58 in the game by Matías de Moraes from a close distance when the talented Dudu de Carvalho managed to make a qualified save. AKI CORINTHIANS's players were relieved. Matías de Moraes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Dudu de Carvalho 61 minutes into the match. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Matías de Moraes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Dudu de Carvalho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, AKI CORINTHIANS's Dudu de Carvalho got control of the ball when Matías de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matías de Moraes in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dudu de Carvalho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 91 minutes into the match, AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Dudu de Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matías de Moraes. Corinthians Paulista players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
