The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Mochila FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Mochila FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilton da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Téo Vaz's shot from short distance in the 41st minute.
