The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of FLA MQ BRASIL booed when Squadra Demarchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Carvalho in the 3rd minute of the match. Kléber Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Joel Aguiar made a huge save. After 8 minutes, Luís Fabiano Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FLA MQ BRASIL and the Squadra Demarchi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when FLA MQ BRASIL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Alexsandro Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliézer Aparecido hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. If Kléber Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléber Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Joel Aguiar made a huge save. A sloppy throw-in by Bernardo Rosado in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Squadra Demarchi's Sérgio Batista. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexsandro Britto in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Squadra Demarchi's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Freire came free, but Oscar Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Squadra Demarchi's Alexsandro Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FLA MQ BRASIL's Joel Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Britto in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Rosa during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FLA MQ BRASIL's Lauro Rosa got a free kick in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, FLA MQ BRASIL's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Britto came free, but Joel Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Joel Aguiar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oscar Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47thth minute of the game Alexsandro Britto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FLA MQ BRASIL's Joel Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A hard, long distance shot from Richard Moura flew over the goal. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Pedro Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Mané Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Rafael da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Aguiar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Britto in the 83rd minute of play forced FLA MQ BRASIL's goalkeeper Joel Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Ribeiro hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Alexsandro Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Joel Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute, Kléber Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Squadra Demarchi fans cheered their team off the field, for while FLA MQ BRASIL had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
