Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) When Nelson Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Squadra Demarchi's protests and gave Nelson Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Leon Sport Club's Oscar Saldanha threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dagoberto Severo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Raí Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Oscar Saldanha made a huge save. Oscar Saldanha was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Soni Féron capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Soni Féron really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Joel Umea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Britto in the 20th minute of the match. Caco Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Joel Umea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Rafael da Rocha hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caco Guerra to make the kick off. If Caco Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Britto. Ian Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. Kléber Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Joel Umea made a huge save. After having played for 63 minutes, Kléber Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Squadra Demarchi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Queirós in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Leon Sport Club getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Maicon Freire hit a great ball. Oscar Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléber Queirós got free with Joel Umea in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leon Sport Club were furious when Beto Massa was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Leon Sport Club getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Beto Massa hit a great ball. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when Leon Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Eliézer Maciel in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Squadra Demarchi's Samuel Ribeiro. Leon Sport Club's Dagoberto Severo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Leon Sport Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
