Dráusio Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Raí Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Duarte in the 18th minute of play. WAU team's Dráusio Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Prestes in the 18th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Luiz Marquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dráusio Siqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinei de Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. Jorginho Novaes was slow to take the kick. During this time WAU team's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on WAU team's corner Jorginho Novaes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nando Sena quite easily take care of the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei de Alcântara came free, but Nando Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. WAU team's Dráusio Siqueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save WAU team from getting a goal against them. Dráusio Siqueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raí Prestes in the 78th minute. 84 minutes into the game, WAU team's Vágner Siqueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a little luck, WAU team's Dráusio Siqueira got control of the ball when Raí Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Independente FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
