In the 24th minute, WAU team's Vágner Siqueira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Dráusio Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of WAU team booed when Zebus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flávio Dante in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráusio Siqueira saved WAU team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinei de Alcântara made a kick off. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jorginho Novaes hit a great ball. Dráusio Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 57 minutes into the game, Clemente Netto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zebus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave WAU team the free kick. In the 57th minute, Clemente Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th match minute, WAU team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Vágner Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, WAU team's Dalmo Paes got a free kick in the 77th minute. Aloísio Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zebus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jorginho Novaes was slow to take the kick. During this time WAU team's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on WAU team's corner Claudinei de Alcântara fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aloísio Pirani quite easily take care of the ball.
