FPRMZ defense, Edson Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Fontes. The Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Fontes should have stopped the shot. In the 9th match minute, America Futebol Clube SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Renatinho de Castro scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Fontes, making the score, 2-0. America Futebol Clube SP's Gonçalo de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Cerezo in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes of play, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Duarte Costa made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gonçalo de Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's goalkeeper Fernando Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edson Mendonça. 42 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Albuquerque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Fernando Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Paulão Berger hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Danilo Varela fired a really elegant long shot, but Gonçalo de Amorim threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 54 minutes into the game, America Futebol Clube SP's Dadá da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Fontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Gonçalo de Amorim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Duarte Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 58 minute of play. Dadá da Silva hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Cerezo in the 64th minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Gonçalo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edson Mendonça scored 5-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Fontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Patrick Cerezo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gonçalo de Amorim. That made the score 5-3 after 73 minutes of play. Fernando Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá da Silva in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Albuquerque in the 80th minute of play forced Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's goalkeeper Fernando Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Edson Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. America Futebol Clube SP's Gonçalo de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Costa in the 86th minute of play. Gonçalo de Amorim acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Danilo Varela. 93 minutes into the match, Duarte Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gonçalo de Amorim. America Futebol Clube SP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duarte Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-4.
