Vânderson Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The wind increased when Gustavo Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Petri came free, but Vânderson Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ladislao Petri in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vânderson Esteves saved Lobo Guará from getting behind. Marcelo Moraes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Ladislao Petri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vânderson Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Ladislao Petri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Vânderson Esteves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
