An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Nan Yuan in the 3rd minute of play forced Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adriano Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Catarinense having to interfere. Vicente Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Nan Yuan in the 10th minute of the match. 1-1 became the score in the 11th minute when Pan Nan Yuan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Operário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Carlinhos Batata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Leal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yuri Paranaense in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlinhos Batata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Espigão Steamrollers's Vicente Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Veiga in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute Pan Nan Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mané Veiga in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Catarinense saved Espigão Steamrollers from getting behind. Vicente Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Nan Yuan in the 43rd minute of the match. After 45 minutes, Mané Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Operário Futebol Clube and the Espigão Steamrollers players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Operário Futebol Clube's Mané Veiga got a free kick in the 45th minute. If Válter Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emerson Leal to make the kick off. Carlinhos Batata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Leal in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Operário Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mané Veiga hit a great ball. Yuri Paranaense took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlinhos Batata. Carlinhos Batata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 74 minutes Operário Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emerson Leal who took care of the corner kick. Espigão Steamrollers's Emerson Leal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlinhos Batata in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 76 minutes into the match, Operário Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Leal came free, but Carlinhos Batata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Paranaense in the 80th minute of play forced Operário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Carlinhos Batata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlinhos Batata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Carlinhos Batata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Leal in the 84th minute of the match. Pan Nan Yuan hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Emerson Leal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlinhos Batata. Operário Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emerson Leal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlinhos Batata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Operário Futebol Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
