With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro Corrêa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Fantini got free with Evandro Lara in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Jacinto Fantini took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Evandro Lara to make any attempt to save it. Classe A Futebol Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
