Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joaquim Félix took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the game, Yuri Alberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrenta SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibirama Futebol Clube the free kick. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Alberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fábio Lima in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruud Windmuller prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Adriano Fontes hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Barrenta SC defense, Yan Falcão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Carioca. The Barrenta SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Carioca should have stopped the shot. Ursino Silvestre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ruud Windmuller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oséias Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Nestor Carioca made a huge save. Ruud Windmuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Lima in the 20th minute of play. Marcos Cruz hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Nestor Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruud Windmuller stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fábio Lima's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 33 minutes Barrenta SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dudu Pinho who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ibirama Futebol Clube's Dudu Pinho to fire away a dangerous shot which Nestor Carioca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias Severo in the 37th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Nestor Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Félix's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nestor Carioca firmly grabbed it by the left post. Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Barrenta SC from getting a goal against them. Ruud Windmuller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Lima in the 42nd minute of the match. Dudu Pinho's late challenge caught a Barrenta SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dudu Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. Dudu Pinho hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Luiz Fábio Lima made the kick off in the second half. Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Félix in the 50th minute of play. Nestor Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Severo in the 61st minute of play. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Adhemar Guedes suffered a sore thigh after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ibirama Futebol Clube made a substitution. Rafa Rossi replaced Adhemar Guedes. Luiz Fábio Lima hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Oséias Severo came free, but Nestor Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Ursino Silvestre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Barrenta SC:s Nestor Carioca showed great skill when he stopped Dudu Pinho:s penalty. The Barrenta SC fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Barrenta SC's Luiz Fábio Lima looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mário Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
