The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Donoghue Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Neiva in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Clemente Leme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donoghue Lester. Vila Mascote FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clemente Leme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vila Mascote FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Franklin Sarmento in the 12th minute. Vila Mascote FC's Franklin Sarmento was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tiaguinho da Cunha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Vivaldo Paes in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vila Mascote FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Paes in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donoghue Lester saved Vila Mascote FC from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Erasmo Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Vivaldo Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Vivaldo Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donoghue Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Xapetuba Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Donoghue Lester came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Clemente Leme. But to his dismay, Clemente Leme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Xapetuba Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Franklin Sarmento placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Tiaguinho da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 44th match minute, Vila Mascote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Eger to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zhang Zheng Liang was the one to do the kick off. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After a rather tough play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Cesinha Palmeira got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Vila Mascote FC's Délio Peixoto in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. 54 minutes into the match, Vila Mascote FC's Zhang Zheng Liang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiaguinho da Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Sarmento in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Vila Mascote FC booed when Xapetuba Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Victor Tróia tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Sarmento in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Sarmento in the 68th minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vila Mascote FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jean Sarmento hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Vila Mascote FC's goalkeeper Donoghue Lester had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Neiva. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Sarmento in the 80th minute of play. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Castro in the 88th minute of the match. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhang Zheng Liang in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Vivaldo Paes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donoghue Lester. That made the score 0-5 after 96 minutes of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Xapetuba Futebol Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
