Alan Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oséias Severo charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséias Severo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ibirama Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Oséias Severo hit a great ball. After 31 played minutes Jumentus Rock Club got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fabiano Leite. After a defensive mix-up in Ibirama Futebol Clube's zone, Tales Goiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruud Windmuller came out of the goal and Tales Goiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Ibirama Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Gomes came free, but Ruud Windmuller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Jumentus Rock Club booed when Ibirama Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Félix was the one to do the kick off. Alan Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséias Severo in the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Santana to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ibirama Futebol Clube defense, Zé Paulo Koehler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruud Windmuller. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruud Windmuller should have stopped the shot.
