The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patrick Neiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Amor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Arí Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiaguinho da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Arí Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Tiaguinho da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breno Recife took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiaguinho da Cunha. Tiaguinho da Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Doni Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Ardwyad Vulcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Xapetuba Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 18th match minute, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Recife to maneuver through the defense. Tiaguinho da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arí Machado in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute Clemente Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arí Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiaguinho da Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arí Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. When Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Clemente Leme in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With his leg Tiaguinho da Cunha managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Breno Recife fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the match, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Recife came free, but Tiaguinho da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiaguinho da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Dantas in the 54th minute of play. Patrick Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Vivaldo Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor got control of the ball when Clemente Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Arí Machado hit a great ball. Patrick Neiva kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's keeper Melquiades Amor was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Norbert Sroki was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Patrick Neiva took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Melquiades Amor to make any attempt to save it. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Victor Tróia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Melquiades Amor in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 83 played minutes Xapetuba Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Duarte. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Recife in the 86th minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Felippe Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Paes in the 94th minute of play. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
