In the 16th minute Franklin Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes Vila Mascote FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fabiano Eger. In the 18th minute, Benjamim Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Mestre GG getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Matías Cosme hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhang Zheng Liang in the 24th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Francisco do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Luís Fabiano Eger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila Mascote FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mestre GG the free kick. In the 24th minute, Luís Fabiano Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Mestre GG booed when Vila Mascote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ancho Ruben didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 47 minutes on the clock, Edmundo Meireles commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vila Mascote FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Mestre GG. Benjamim Medeiros stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Donoghue Lester. 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chiquinho Sergipano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ancho Ruben fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Mascote FC's protests and gave Ancho Ruben a yellow card for diving instead. Donoghue Lester was a little too slow when Chiquinho Sergipano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 3-2. Vila Mascote FC's Donoghue Lester proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Mascote FC from getting a goal against them. After 90 minutes of play, Mestre GG's Benjamim Medeiros made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
