The coaching staff of S.E.R Corujão protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Conrado Coutinho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. S.E.R Corujão's Augusto Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Fábio Lima kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Claudinho Pena. That made the score 3-1 in the 18 minute of play. Luiz Fábio Lima scored 4-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinho Pena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Luiz Fábio Lima came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Barrenta SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fábio Lima couldn't finish the play. The Barrenta SC fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Barrenta SC's Luiz Fábio Lima looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. If Mário Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Lima in the 94th minute of play. Yuri Alberto struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Claudinho Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrenta SC. Barrenta SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
