The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the S.E.R Corujão defense, Vivaldo Paes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho Pena. The S.E.R Corujão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho Pena should have stopped the shot. Claudinho Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Neiva in the 6th minute of the match. Patrick Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinho Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 12th match minute, S.E.R Corujão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Sena to maneuver through the defense. Claudinho Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Pena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vivaldo Paes's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Cícero Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tiaguinho da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vivaldo Paes in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Pena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Vivaldo Paes in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bernardinho Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardinho Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clemente Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Claudinho Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cícero Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Neiva in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Pena saved S.E.R Corujão from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reginaldo Vidal to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrick Neiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Claudinho Pena when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Marquinhos Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vivaldo Paes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claudinho Pena came out and tried to block the shot, but Vivaldo Paes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 60th minute. Claudinho Pena didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Patrick Neiva shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-5 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 68th minute of the match, Patrick Neiva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Claudinho Pena was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Vivaldo Paes scored 1-6 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinho Pena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Clemente Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Pena was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. When Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Vivaldo Paes in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Claudinho Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xapetuba Futebol Clube. When the final whistle sounded Xapetuba Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.E.R Corujão.
