Luís Gustavo do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval de Queirós in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Leite came free, but Manoel Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Jovens Democratas MZC were awarded a corner. Dobromir Zagrodny went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xu Li Sang in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo do Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Li Sang came free, but Luís Gustavo do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Marco van Basten made a precise shot to the right of Luís Gustavo do Nascimento. Nova Venécia-ES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Sanches got free with Manoel Neuer in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xu Li Sang in the 27th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Xu Li Sang sped through Nova Venécia-ES's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo do Nascimento. In the 33rd minute Dobromir Zagrodny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marco van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 37 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Li Sang came free, but Luís Gustavo do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Li Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Durval de Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 44th minute Durval de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Xu Li Sang made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dino Tavares was the one to do the kick off. Lúcio Cruzs short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Luís Gustavo do Nascimento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xu Li Sang in the 57th minute. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Xu Li Sang sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval de Queirós in the 62nd minute of play forced Nova Venécia-ES's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo do Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xu Li Sang. After 67 played minutes Nova Venécia-ES got a freekick which was hit by Dário de Salles. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Jozef Ilve replaced Mexhit Koçi. A collision led to Nova Venécia-ES getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dário de Salles hit a great ball. Durval de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo do Nascimento having to interfere. Jovens Democratas MZC's Durval de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dobromir Zagrodny in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Marco van Basten could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Luís Gustavo do Nascimento however easily saved by the left post. Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri was substituted for Durval de Queirós. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dobromir Zagrodny, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 85th minute, Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Serginho Sabóia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Luís Gustavo do Nascimento when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
