Wilian Gulak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Gustavo Prestes having to make a save. In the 9th minute Wilian Gulak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Piotr Osikowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Breckenfeld in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iker Boruc in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Courtois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iker Boruc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Courtois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Iker Boruc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Courtois made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Gulak came free, but Luís Gustavo Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilian Gulak in the 29th minute of play forced ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Piotr Osikowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Fernando Courtois made a huge save. Dorian Neves hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Luís Gustavo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho Peixoto came free, but Luís Gustavo Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
