Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Honorio Efraim started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcello Lewandowski in the 11th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Telmo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tribos booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Filippini didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Dani Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Club Mavericks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tribos the free kick. In the 18th minute, Dani Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcello Lewandowski in the 24th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Telmo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Telmo de Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edvin van der Saar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Efraim, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 33rd minute Armando Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo de Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcello Lewandowski's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Guerreiro in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvin van der Saar saved Tribos from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Tribos's Marcel Urbano got a free kick in the 39th minute. Tribos's Edvin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Efraim in the 41st minute of play. Edvin van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Efraim in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Tribos's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Guerreiro came free, but Edvin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Marcel Urbano in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sport Club Mavericks's Serginho Quirino. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's Arturo Filippini got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcello Lewandowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edvin van der Saar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 79th match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Filippini to maneuver through the defense. Edvin van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Guerreiro in the 83rd minute of the match. Edvin van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dani Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honorio Efraim's shot straight on target was not completely harmless.
