With a little luck, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Matias Čech got control of the ball when José Vítor Aparecido tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute, Perico Ferrer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braga Junior FC's Silvinho Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piotr Osikowicz in the 16th minute of play. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Braga Junior FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benito Laurin took the corner. Matias Čech made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when José Vítor Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. Perico Ferrer made in the 28th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Dan Finnman. Matias Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Vítor Aparecido in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Čech saved ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ from getting behind. After 34 minutes ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emilio Lain who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Aparecido in the 44th minute of play forced ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Matias Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, José Vítor Aparecido took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Matias Čech to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Vítor Aparecido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 75 played minutes ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ got a freekick which was hit by Dan Finnman. In the 79th minute, Dan Finnman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matias Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Kaká Ferreira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Perico Ferrer in the 82 minute of the game. Braga Junior FC were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emilio Lain took the corner. Braga Junior FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
