Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Catarinense started the match with the kick off. Anderson de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Germano having to make a save. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galo do Japi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Orlando Vinhas was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético da Colina's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached João Fantini at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Galo do Japi. 0-1. Cícero Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Catarinense in the 27th minute of play. João Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Anderson de Brito could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Carlos Germano however easily saved by the left post. Wilfredo Cefero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Carlos Germano made a huge save. Carlos Germano stood somewhat misplaced when Joel Catarinense came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 38 minute. The audience was convinced that Chico Bastos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delfim Chaves was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chico Bastos to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Fantini in the 66th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Delfim Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Galo do Japi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético da Colina had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
