Galo do Japi's Anderson de Brito managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gui Souza in the 4 minute of the game. Imbituba - FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Wilfredo Cefero scored to the left of an out of position Vítor Saraiva, making the score, 1-0. A sloppy throw-in by Franklin Tavares in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Galo do Japi's Anderson de Brito. 17 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Lara came free, but Delfim Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Falcão Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Falcão Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Vítor Saraiva made a huge save. Vítor Saraiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Catarinense went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Catarinense in the 31st minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Vítor Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Catarinense came free, but Vítor Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delfim Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Souza in the 34th minute of the match. Vítor Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Catarinense in the 36th minute of play. Galo do Japi's Roberto Neiva quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Franklin Tavares, made in the 42nd minute of the game. A collision led to Imbituba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Lobo Guará hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Joel Catarinense made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Saraiva. Imbituba - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Catarinense was the one to do the kick off. Galo do Japi's attentive Anderson de Brito managed to snatch the ball when Franklin Tavares made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Roberto Neiva in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Imbituba - FSCMZ's Franklin Tavares. Franklin Tavares made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Galo do Japi's Roberto Neiva. In the 96th match minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Mattos to maneuver through the defense. When Wilfredo Cefero came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Galo do Japi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Cefero couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Galo do Japi had played much better football throughout.
