Franz Dubosq took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Jaafari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Borussia Dortmund MZB's Ronaldão Jaafari ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franz Dubosq. Franz Dubosq yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Walmir Pontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michel Neuer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franz Dubosq came out of the goal and Murilo Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dmitry Ilyushin in the 94th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Michel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrão de Sousa in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franz Dubosq saved Merusca F&P - CIMZ from getting behind. It was a well-played corner which Olívio Andrade managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Borussia Dortmund MZB had played much better football throughout.
