After a rather tough play, Atlético Capixaba's Nilmar Mota got a free kick in the 5th minute. Edin Džeko might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo da Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edin Džeko ran back to his position shaking his head. Murilo da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edin Džeko in the 7th minute of the match. If Medero Gadea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Grzegorz Siekierski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otto Fesik. After a rather tough play, Atlético Capixaba's Nilmar Mota got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 24th minute, Medero Gadea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24thth minute of the game Edin Džeko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Capixaba's Murilo da Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edin Džeko took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murilo da Fonseca. Murilo da Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 31st minute Mario Cristofor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murilo da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edin Džeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Curteanu came free, but Grzegorz Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Cristofor in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Atlético Capixaba's Otto Fesik dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Grzegorz Siekierski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radowit Ciechocki. In the 43rd minute, Cristóvão Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a little luck, Atlético Capixaba's Murilo da Fonseca got control of the ball when Mario Cristofor tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Edin Džeko came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the GeRaÇãO-83 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edin Džeko couldn't finish the play. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilmar Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murilo da Fonseca didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 83rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-3.
