The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Álvaro Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Jataiense Futebol Clube's Horácio Gonçalves in action when he in the 8th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Horácio Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz Dubosq having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Walmir Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merusca F&P - CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some careless play in the Jataiense Futebol Clube defense, Walmir Pontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alperen Bozkurt. The Jataiense Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alperen Bozkurt should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Golaki Goiano came free, but Franz Dubosq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Horácio Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Kalle Biörkquist fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jataiense Futebol Clube's protests and gave Kalle Biörkquist a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 minutes of play, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Horácio Gonçalves made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franz Dubosq was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Kalle Biörkquist got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute Walmir Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alperen Bozkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franz Dubosq made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Fox in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Leopoldo de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Wágner Fox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franz Dubosq saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Golaki Goiano made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Walmir Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alperen Bozkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Merusca F&P - CIMZ players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jataiense Futebol Clube from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
