Jaime Nafarroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Rufio in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Mauricio Sergi made a precise shot to the right of Jaime Nafarroa. La Gallardeta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 10th minute, Sebastian Edur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Illan. Marcos Madeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauricio Sergi took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Nafarroa. Jaime Nafarroa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Mauricio Sergi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Nafarroa was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After 31 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Naelio. When Mauricio Sergi came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Rivermania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Sergi couldn't finish the play. Mauricio Sergi struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jaime Nafarroa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivermania FC. Jaime Nafarroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Rufio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Mauricio Sergi struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Jaime Nafarroa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivermania FC. After the first half Rivermania FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Sergi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Mauricio Sergi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jaime Nafarroa, 0-3. After a rather tough play, La Gallardeta's Carmelo Jeraldo got a free kick in the 55th minute. The supporters of Rivermania FC booed when La Gallardeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Chuan to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Nafarroa made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Hermengildo Rufio sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, Hermengildo Rufio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Madeo in the 68th minute of play forced Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Alejandro Truylos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Lázaro Peru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Nafarroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Sergi in the 75th minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Jaime Nafarroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Rivermania FC's Mauricio Sergi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jaime Nafarroa. That made the score 0-5 after 76 minutes of play. Hermengildo Rufio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jaime Nafarroa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, La Gallardeta's Jaime Nafarroa got control of the ball when Hermengildo Rufio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Narciso Matteo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Jaime Nafarroa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Rufio. After a rather tough play, La Gallardeta's Carmelo Jeraldo got a free kick in the 87th minute. Jaime Nafarroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Sergi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to La Gallardeta getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sebastian Edur hit a great ball. The Rivermania FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rivermania FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
